Hadley and her high pitched scream!

I have told so many people about this high pitched scream that Hadley has been doing since she was about 6 months old...you can't explain it in words, you have to hear it for yourself. She finds it very amusing, she doesn't do it because she's mad or sad or anything, she just thinks it's funny :) P.S. I listen to this ALL day long!

Our new puppy!

I picked up our new puppy on Wednesday. His name is Tonto and he's a weiner dog. I have been against getting a dog for the last 4 years, but I finally caved because I got tired of listening to Wes complain about it LOL

Let me explain the name: I tease Wes a lot and call him Pocahontas and a friend of his called him Tonto...the deal with the dog was that Wes could have the dog, but I got to name it. Originally his name was Starsky and that just didn't fit his personality, so I was planning to go with Vegas...I got a call from Wes while he's been on patrol and made a joke about Tonto and Wes actually really liked it, so I went with it :)

Hadley likes the puppy when he cuddles with her, but when he tries to play with her she gets freaked out, he knocks her over when she's sitting on the floor and that doesn't make her happy either. I am hoping they will get used to each other.

I have been going crazy trying to take care of this dog, I made it clear to Wes that it's his dog, his responsibility, but since he's deployed right now I get the joy of taking care of him. He's peed and pooped about a million times on my floor, the potty training isn't going so well. He's also VERY whiney! He whines all day long. I have to keep him in a small area so he doesn't poop somewhere that I can't find it and he just doesn't like that. Wes will be home in a few weeks and will have to take over the dog!

On a Hadley note, she tried her first meat last night, I bought her sweet potatoes with chicken and she loved it! I am giving her apples with chicken tonight and will start trying other meats after that.

We are both doing well for the most part, it would help a lot if Wes was home, but duty calls! I hope everyone is well, god bless!

We're back!

Hadley and I got back from Indiana last night. We had a pretty rough night. Hadley is always very good on the plane, she just sleeps, however, there was a very loud, screaming child sitting a few rows behind us so she wasn't able to fall asleep until about halfway through the flight. She was just a cranky girl the rest of the night, on the way home, once we got home. She's doing great today though!

We celebrated her first Christmas in Indiana! She loved getting new toys and loved playing with all the wrapping paper! She started sitting up on her own around 8 months (Dec. 19th) and I can't get her to lay down now. When I put her to sleep I look over and she's sitting up staring at me. It's pretty funny. She's still not crawling, but I know she will get there eventually.

None of her teeth have broken through yet, but her bottom gums are swollen a lot and I think that those teeth are coming soon! She loves to blow bubbles with her spit, it amuses her for hours. She talks a lot, but hasn't made any words yet. Again, she will get there.

Overall she is doing great and I am doing great for the most part. I'm still really angry at Wes for leaving my car window down for a month and ruining the carpet in my car, but I'm sure I will get over it eventually.

I hope everyone is doing great! God bless!
